Here at the NNTMA, our most important mission is to serve our constituent base - the residents and businesses of North Natomas. One of the ways we do this is through regular Flyer ridealongs and surveys where we get feedback from our riders. Last August we conducted a shuttle survey to identify areas of rider concern. When the results were tallied, we found that our riders wanted, in order: more service, less wait time between shuttles and to alleviate overcrowded loops. While we determined the optimal solution is to add service, it became clear after working towards this goal that budget issues would make adding service unlikely in 2015. As an alternative, we are now in the review stage of proposed schedule adjustments and once a determination has been made, we will share our findings.
Adding service in 2015 is unlikely due to budget constraints, however, 2016 may result in increases to our bottom line, due to the projected lift in the building moratorium.
Currently, some of our downtown routes and stop times are in review to better match traffic patterns on J Street, specifically.
Upon implementation, small schedule adjustments may happen as soon as spring, with more comprehensive changes scheduled for September 1st.
